Robyn Barry (Thursday Instructor):
Robyn has been
practicing yoga for 14 years. It is the joy that she receives
in her own practice, which led her to train as a yoga teacher
through the Life Centre (British Wheel of Yoga accredited).
Drawing her influences predominantly from Hatha and Astanga
yoga, she now teaches Dynamic yoga concentrating on breath and
body awareness.
The beauty of yoga is that it’s
for everyone; you don’t have to be flexible to practice yoga!
Robyn hopes that she can help you find the lightness of mind,
body and soul that she finds in her own practice.
It is her goal to help teach
students to create a relationship with their own bodies by
working on synchronising breath with movement, calming the
mind and most importantly learning to let go…
Lizzie Gilchrist (Saturday Instructor):
Lizzie was introduced to yoga
whilst at school. That first experience of yoga fifteen years
ago made a lasting impression and keeps bringing her back to
the practice.
She has studied with many
teachers from a variety of schools and now, drawing on these
wide-ranging influences, practices and teaches Dynamic Yoga.
She believes the practice is
about mindfully working with the body. Through the simple
acts of moving and breathing people can find space and calm in
mind and body. It is this affect on both mental and physical
health that keeps Lizzie drawn to yoga.
